Fountain of youth? A bit on Goji Berries...

Goji berries, also known as wolfberries, are an orange-red raisin sized berry that grows on a bush. They are native to China where they have long been used for consumed for their healing and anti-aging properties. They have a robust taste that are a delicious nutritious addition to many recipes!

Goji berries are considered a “Superfood” because they are a powerful antioxidant that may help prevent cancer and other illnesses. They boost the immune system, increase alkalinity, increase vitality, stamina, and strength, enhance sexual energy, and much more! Because of the combination of all of these healing benefits, goji berries have been named the “fountain of youth” superfood.
Goji berries are a tasty addition to salads and smoothies; you can find herbal teas, juices, wines, and medicines infused with goji berries. They can be eaten raw, cooked, or dried. You can find goji berries in your local Whole Foods or natural foods market. When buying goji berries, look for the ones that are the most red and the most plump; those have the most nutrition! Until next time!
